Profile

I began the practice of Aikido in 1977 when I was 16
My instructor was Giorgio Oscari.
Then, in Modena, Aikido was not very popular yet.
This is my first picture.
Here I’m practising as uke, while Giuseppe Lisco is tori.

In May 1981 a national seminar held by M.K. sensei was held in Turin. At the time he was Technical Director of FIK- Aikido.
I passed the Shodan examination.

In 1981 I was serving in the army as a member of the Italian alpine troops, in Trento. I opened my first Aikido course in that city.
M. Saito sensei came to Italy in 1985 for the first time.
He held two seminars in Turin and Osimo and I attended both.
Morihiro Saito sensei and I in Osimo.
Saito sensei was with his representative for Europe T Tomita sensei.
In this picture, Tomita sensei and I in Osimo.
From 1977 to 1985 I studied with the most famous Masters.
After meeting Saito sensei and Tomita sensei I decided to devote myself to the study of Takemusu Aiki
I had been teaching for seven years at the “Aikido Club Modena” of Giorgio Oscari, when, in 1987, I decided it was time to open my own school
Thus beginning a new adventure, I founded the “Aikido Club Sassuolo"
During the Summer Camp 2005 in Sweden, Tomita Sensei gave me the title of ShihanDai.
This is one of the highest recognitions to obtain. It means “Successor”.
I believe only few people can boast such a title.
